Apple?s ?Touch ID? Sensor Ready For Full-Size iPad? ? [VIDEO]

Following a report that surfaced last week, (which suggested Apple may be planning to eventually ?transplant? its ?Touch ID? fingerprint system, now present in the latest iteration of the firm?s popular smartphone, to the iPad mini), a new video teardown of the new fingerprint-reading component by the folks over at Unbox Therapy ? would appear to back up this theory.

The video shows how the ?home button? components found on Apple?s previous-generation iOS devices, would appear to not be a perfect fit for the ?hole? pressed out on Apple?s current-generation, 9.7-inch iPad. However, taking the ?Touch ID? fingerprint sensor component out of the iPhone 5S, reveals that Apple?s new ? ?iconless? ? home button fits that hole, perfectly.

While the above isn?t solid evidence (in itself) that Apple intends to bring ?Touch ID? to its full-size iPad, it does start us thinking about the potential possibilities, and enhanced level of security, having ?Touch ID? on the iPad could eventually bring to Apple?s popular tablet.
